FEUERHEERD'S DOURO RED

Grape: Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional
Tasting Notes: Black Cherry, Raspberry, Licorice, Caraway Seed
With roots dating back to 1815, Feuerheerd focused solely on the production of world class port wine, and in so doing became titans of that venerated tradition. Nowadays, through recent acquisition by Barão de Vilar, the partnership between the Barros and Van Zellers families is bringing into the mix fantastic winemaking as well. This Duoro does not disappoint. With smooth, round tannins, tons of body, floral notes and perfectly balanced acidity, it opens slowly to reveal its full complexity, and winds its way to a satisfying finish. Surely decant before drinking, and pair with spicy smoked meats or a hot traditional Paella.
